Shalmali is a playback singer and performer. Her debut to Bollywood playback singing was with Pareshaan from the film Ishaqzaade, for which she won the Best Female Playback Singer Filmfare Award in 2013. She has sung several other tracks, working with several music directors such as Pritam, Amit Trivedi and Sachin – Jigar. Shalmali performs her Bollywood live-set world over and performs live with Mikey McCleary’s band The Bartender.
